Ayurveda is an ancient medical system, about 5000 years old. “Ayu” in Sanskrit means “life”, “Veda” means “knowledge”. Literally, Ayurveda can be translated as “the science of life”. Ancient ayurvedic texts provide instructions on how to be in harmony with nature, mind, body and soul, which forms the basis of Ayurvedic Treatment.

a) Mental practices aimed at developing consciousness, for example, meditation

b) Practices aimed at improving physiology including recommendations for the normalization of sleep, physical activity and nutrition.

c) Ayurvedic therapy – using special procedures, oil massages, the use of herbal preparations and minerals.

Most Ayurvedic preparations contain only plants and herbs that have beneficial effects. However, Allergic reactions to certain ingredients may occur, rules of dose, duration are not followed. Also, Ayurvedic treatment practices too can cause complications if the body is not ready or they are carried out by an uncertified specialist.
